London (DAY 3)

Another busy day for the 16 of us. First it was off to 45 Park Lane and The Dorchester (both part of The Dorchester Collection). We were hosted to coffee and pastries at 45 Park Lane before our inspection, and then, walked over to The Dorchester for an inspection, and then, a unique breakfast in the kitchen amongst the chefs with delicious small plates and drinks.

45 Park Lane-
Opened in 2011, this forty-five room boutique hotel has a very intimate, residential feel with every room and suite overlooking Hyde Park. Each guest is assigned a personal host to make sure each and every stay is a unique experience. Art is integral throughout the hotel, not only are the walls are adorned with beautiful artwork by living British artists, they hold exclusive exhibitions and monthly lectures. The hotel is home to Wolfgang Puck’s first international restaurant in Europe, CUT.

Christophe Hilty (Hotel Manager) took us on a fabulous tour of this charming boutique hotel.

The Dorchester-
In the midst of finishing a complete guestroom renovation, the hotel offers 250 spacious, elegant rooms, many of them connecting, each featuring specially commissioned fabrics and antique furniture. Their restaurant, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, has been awarded three Michelin stars. Prominent in all public spaces are the spectacular floral arrangements, created in house by their floristry team. The Spa went through a complete transformation in 2009 and features exclusive products and treatments.

With a two-Michelin-star restaurant and a popular bar, it’s a lively scene. The hotel has a beautiful central wood staircase and skylight, 120 contemporary rooms, a pool, and the Aman Spa.

Brigit Berrey (Guest Relations Manager) led us on a site inspection and joined us for Afternoon Tea.

Our farewell dinner and inspection was held at the elegant Bulgari Hotel. It was the perfect way to end our London visit in style.

The Bulgari Hotel & Residences-
From the warm welcome on arrival to the sleek architecture and refined interiors, the Bulgari Hotel did not disappoint. 85 spacious guestrooms and suites are furnished with exquisite marbles, fine woods, and unique detailing, creating an intimate feel.
